Meet Lakia
Restorative Wellness Facilitator | Restorative Yoga Practitioner | Wellness Educator
Lakia is the founder of Restore with Lakia, a restorative wellness practice centered on helping individuals and organizations create meaningful space for rest, regulation, reflection, and renewal.
Through restorative yoga, breathwork, guided rest, restorative writing, and wellness education, Lakia creates experiences that invite people to slow down, tune into themselves, and reconnect with what they need to feel more grounded and well.
Her work explores the often-overlooked relationship between rest, stress, emotional wellness, nervous system regulation, and life transitions. Rather than encouraging people to simply do more in the name of wellness, Lakia offers a different invitation: pause, notice, breathe, and restore.
Her restorative experiences are designed for people navigating demanding seasons of life, including stress, burnout, emotional fatigue, major transitions, and the everyday pressures that can leave us disconnected from ourselves.
Lakia not only offers individual sessions, she also brings this work into corporate wellness programs, universities, healthcare and community settings, conferences, retreats, workshops, and virtual experiences, creating accessible and supportive spaces where people can step away from the demands of the moment and return to themselves.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief:
Rest is not something we earn after we've done enough. Rest is part of how we restore ourselves to keep living, creating, connecting, and becoming.
This is Restore with Lakia.
Release. Regulate. Restore.
My Mission
My mission is to create restorative spaces where people can slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with themselves through the healing power of rest, breath, gentle movement, and journaling

Restorative Writing
Restorative writing is basically intentional journaling for release and mental clarity. It creates a quiet space to slow down, process what you're feeling, and put words to thoughts that may be difficult to express out loud.
Through guided prompts and reflection, restorative writing can help you release emotional clutter, gain perspective, reconnect with yourself, and create greater clarity around what you need in the present moment.
It isn't about writing perfectly or finding all the answers. It's about pausing long enough to listen to yourself.
As your restorative writing coach, I help you use intentional reflection to identify what's weighing on you, gain clarity around what's really going on, and work through thoughts and emotions before they become bigger problems.

"Heal Queen, Heal" is a guided restorative writing workbook created specifically for Black women who are ready to slow down, release what they've been carrying, and reconnect with themselves through intentional reflection.
Inside, you'll find thoughtful writing prompts designed to help you explore your emotions, recognize what you need, process difficult seasons, and create space for healing, clarity, and restoration.
